Corporate Express, one of the leading European office supplies manufacturers, has newly assigned a general framework agreement to the purchasing department. The aim was foremost the control and forecast of supplier’s bonuses. ITBconsult has linked the contract data from salesforce.com with turnover and sales figures from the European data warehouse. The controllers can deposit forecast parameters in salesforce.com, which the system uses for the determination of turnover and bonus estimates. The controllers get europeanwide instructions from Corporate Express to determine the supplier’s turnovers and bonuses at the push of a button as well as to make forecasts about their course.

For 118 Media, a subsidiary of the English directory information supplier The Number, the order and accounting processes were automised and a prompt and optimised invoicing was thus made possible. With this improvement new orders can be processed more efficiently. And in addition the reliability of the invoicing process is garanteed, so that all new orders will promptly go to the current invoicing system.

 

Current projects from the area Data Warehousing and Data Integration

For our globally active customer Zürich Versicherung we work in several operative and descriptive projects. To get a global overview of their insurance customers we implement various datamarts with which the operative business can be sustainably improved, the operative processing of performance cases optimised and the range of products for their customers adjusted in line with the market.
 
Our customer Basler Versicherung also uses various mainframe/host-based solutions. We help this company to bring these solutions onto a client/server-platform to improve the company’s efficiency as well as the expense situation in the medium-term. This project has a duration of 10 months and will already be amortised after 1.5 years.
